Care labels are small labels that indicate to the customer how the product can be cared for to guarantee a long shelf life.
Washing symbols indicate how the garment or fabric product can be treated within the dry-cleaning process. They indicate the optimum wash cycle, washing temperature, iron setting and tumble-drying properties.

The Textile Labelling Act includes the labelling obligation for all products that consist of at least 80 % textile fibres The most common type of textile marking is the use of a TKG label, which is firmly attached to the textile product.
